About this product
The Controller Roll & Bulge 12.5° driving iron is a right-handed men's club with a graphite shaft in regular flex. It combines hybrid and iron characteristics, offering a 12.5° loft. Made in the United States, this club is designed for golfers seeking a low-lofted alternative to a fairway wood or hybrid off the tee or from the fairway.
Our take
For under twenty bucks, this Controller driving iron is a fun experiment. The 12.5° loft is very low, basically a 1-iron replacement. The graphite shaft feels decent, and the Roll & Bulge design helps reduce the dreaded slice. I found it surprisingly solid off the tee, though hitting it off the deck requires a perfect strike. It's not the most forgiving club, but for the price, it's a great way to try a driving iron without a big investment. Just be prepared for a challenging shot if you mishit.
